The Tree House | Interior Design

Complete Design and Fit Out by Rebecca Farquhar

Description | Interior Design of a modern and private country hideaway home. Rebecca was given this home as a 'blank canvas' (in other words it was empty) to completely design and furnish. The Initial Design Brief from her clients was "earthy tones reflecting the views to the bush of Morton National Park as well having a Mid Century Modern and Scandinavian Influence". From there, Rebecca designed and created the layout of each room, starting with the paint colour palette for the home, giving the walls a fresh coating of paint using the perfect tone of stone and green. This instantly transformed the home and allowed all the pieces she sourced, designed and custom made to work cohesively together as you flow through the home. Each and every piece for every room was carefully selected, sourced and custom made to suit the style she had developed for her clients.

Interior Design and Soft Furnishings for Bowral Home

Description | Rebecca worked closely with her clients helping to find rare and unique antique pieces to add to areas of their home, as well as sourcing and choosing the perfect fabrics that were used in the making of new Curtains, Roman Blinds and Soft Furnishings. Rebecca also chose fabrics for the clients beloved set of French oak Dining Chairs that were restored and newly upholstered with vibrant and patterned fabrics. Her clients also asked for guidance with specialty paint finishes and hardware choices for areas of their home.

Interior Design | Building the colour palette and fabrics for soft-furnishings.

Vibrant colours, exotic and whimsical patterns and rich detail was high on the design priority list. Warm and inviting colours mixed with traditional elements, wooden tones and brass accents.

Interior Design | Dining Chairs

The set of eight French Oak Dining Chairs and two French Carver Chairs were given a modern and vibrant re-vamp with new seat pads (replacing the old cane) and cushions made using an incredibly rich in colour and exotic patterned fabric.

Interior Design | Curtains and Roman Blinds.

Custom curtains with inverted pleats were made using the finest Spanish tangerine orange linen with bespoke hand painted curtain rods with filigree cap ends.

A playful striped linen in a soft blend of red, white & blue for the Children's bedroom.

A soothing and neutral 'oatmeal' Belgian linen for the Master Bedroom.

A whimsical 'garden party' floral linen with a vibrant array of colours and a free flowing pattern featuring birds, buds, fruits and butterflies.

Interior Design | Sourcing rare, antique and unique furniture, lighting, custom made lampshades, decorative objects and hardware for many areas of the home.

We worked with Rebecca recently designing our home. We worked with her on the design of our entry way, sourcing antique and rare pieces and choosing fabrics for our soft furnishings, our curtains and roman blinds.
